Cathy Harris is an Executive PA to the CEO for Discovery Invest. Nominated SA National Office Professional for the Year in 2006, she drives various initiatives both locally and internationally. She initiated the renewal of the Discovery PA forum, now known as the Discovery PA Centre of Excellence, and is the founder of the Platinum Assistant Network South Africa, past President for the OPSA Institute of Learning, and managed the assessments of the professional designation applications, and headed up the OPSA National Award committee for over 10 years. She was instrumental in initiating the National Secretary of the Year Award for Mauritius, facilitates training initiatives internationally, which includes Discovery health PA workshops, external seminars and symposium facilitations, and was the opening speaker at the internationally acclaimed Executive Secretary Live London event, which brought together PA’s from over 27 countries. She has written her first book, the first in a series of 4, Mobi-Jane: Self Development and innovation, is part of the 6 woman CSI Initiative known as the Isipho Bursary” and encourages inspiring excellence and sharing her passion for the profession of 34 years.
