How this website works, and how we handle the information you give us.

About this site

This website is operated by the Platinum Assistant Network South Africa (“PANSA”, “we”, “us”), a registered non-profit organisation in South Africa, registration number 2016 / 304705 / 08.

Use of the website

The content on this site is provided for general information about PANSA, its membership and the administrative profession. Much of the resource library is available to paid members only. You may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit member-only material without our written permission.

We link to third-party websites, courses and training providers for the benefit of the profession. PANSA is not affiliated with, and does not endorse or guarantee, every third-party provider listed. Please do your own due diligence before paying for any course or service.

Membership

  • PANSA reserves the right to membership.
  • An invoice is issued once a completed application form is received. Please use the invoice number as your payment reference.
  • Fees may be paid in full or in four consecutive monthly instalments, as set out on the membership page.
  • As a registered non-profit we can invoice your employer on your behalf where you request it.
  • Membership certificates are issued to paid members.
  • Rewards-tier progression (Gold → Platinum → Ambassador) is based on continuous paid membership.

Information we collect

When you submit the contact form or a membership application, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, email address, telephone number, job title, employer and any message or notes you provide. Our web server also records your IP address and browser user-agent with each submission, as a standard anti-abuse measure.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry.
  • To process your membership application, issue invoices and maintain the member register.
  • To send you member communications such as event invitations and the quarterly newsletter, where you are a member or have asked to hear from us.
  • To protect the website from spam and abusive submissions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information is shared only where it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, or where the law requires it.

Your rights (POPIA)

In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. To exercise any of these rights, email info@pansa.co.za. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Membership records are kept for the duration of your membership and for as long as we are required to keep financial records thereafter.

Cookies

This site uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie. It is set only when you interact with a form, and it exists to protect that form against cross-site request forgery and to remember what you typed if the form needs correcting. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party tracking on this site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored outside the public web root of the server. Access is limited to the PANSA administrators who need it.
